History of EDP World, Inc.
EDP World, Inc. was founded in 1968 by Louis Sumin, a pioneer in Executive Search for the Information Technology industry. The firm was originally established as a search firm specializing in the placement of sales professionals for computer hardware manufacturers. In 1979, Elyse Klein joined the firm and led the expansion of the company’s offerings to include the recruitment of full-time software and hardware engineering professionals as our corporate clients’ developed their end user departments for programming the first generation of business computers. As the demand for IT professionals grew, the business expanded to specialize in the placement of IT contract resources.
